AN@S Education Awards 2022


Applications for the AN@S’ annual scholastic achievement awards (ASAA) and bursary for 2022 is NOW OPEN. This is the 12th year in which AN@S will disburse funds to Singapore students of Arab background, since its inception in 2010. To date, around $185,000 has been awarded to 195 students.

In addition to the monetary incentives, the ASAA and bursary recipients will also be eligible for a customised 2-year transformational development programme. This program helps students design and boost their personal, academic and career development plans. It also specifically helps in character building and community engagement. This unique program has been specially designed, and driven by the Alattas Group, and has produced stellar alumni. 

The deadline to submit applications and supporting documents for ASAA and AN@S Bursary Awards is 20th May 2022 (EXTENDED TO 27TH MAY 2022). Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview with our review panel comprising of educators and professionals from the community.  

Below are the details of the applications for ASAA and AN@S Bursary Awards:

AN@S Scholastic Achievement Awards – ASAA

The ASAA is awarded to students who achieve excellence in academic and non-academic fields and/or exhibit character and aptitude for holistic excellence.

Criteria
1) Singaporean or PR of Singapore
2) Arab background from both parents OR either maternal / paternal side
3) Accepted and Full-time Student for the following levels:
        – Junior College, International Baccalaureate (IB) or Equivalent (including Madrasah Education Equivalent)
        – Polytechnic or Equivalent (including Madrasah Education Equivalent)
        – University

AN@S Bursary Awards 

The AN@S Bursary Award is awarded to students who achieve excellence in academic and non-academic fields and/or exhibit character and aptitude for holistic excellence, AND whose family’s net total income does not exceed $1,800 per month.  

Criteria
1) Singaporean or PR of Singapore
2) Arab background from both parents OR either maternal / paternal side
3) Net total family income not exceeding $1,800 per month or Household Per Capita Income (PCI) of S$450.00 and below
4) Accepted and Full-time Student for the following levels:
        – Polytechnic or Equivalent (including Madrasah Education Equivalent)
        – University
